We wanted to reassure you that we are keeping a close eye on the amber and red weather warnings currently in place across North Somerset.

Locally, North Somerset Council has advised us that the Severe Weather Coordinating Group will be meeting later this afternoon (Monday) to review the latest information and ensure a coordinated response.

At the moment, we are waiting for this official update and gaining advice from our central specialists around whether schools will need to close on Wednesday and Thursday, should the warning remain in force.

As every school building is different, each site will be assessed individually once we know more. If any school closures are required, we will share this information with you as quickly as possible.

Please keep an eye on school social media, text services, emails and websites for further updates.
